Culture and Education through Audio-visual Association (ACEA) was founded in 2007 by Producer Nouzha Drissi, to develop a culture of documentary film in Morocco that unites citizens, cinephiles, students, and professionals. In 2008, ACEA launched the Agadir International Documentary Film Festival (FIDADOC) whose official selection includes competitions for international features, African and Arab short films, and a variety of thematic programs for children and students. Resolutely focused on youth and audiences that don’t have access to any cultural offer, FIDADOC also offers outdoor screenings across Agadir districts and the Souss-Massa region: Triq Cinima. Since 2012, the FIDADOC educational and professionally-oriented activities have been gathered in a Documentary Hive intended to identify the Moroccan and African documentary filmmakers of tomorrow, build their capacities, and accompany them in the development process of their projects. Today, their ambition is to transform FIDADOC’s Documentary Hive into a real incubator of film projects aiming to support and promote the best of creative documentaries hailing from a wide Saharan zone.
L’Association Culture et Éducation par l’Audiovisuel (ACEA) a été fondée en 2007 par la productrice Nouzha Drissi, afin de développer une culture du film documentaire au Maroc qui unit les citoyens, les cinéphiles, les étudiants et les professionnels. En 2008, l’ACEA a lancé le Festival international du film documentaire d’Agadir (FIDADOC) dont la sélection officielle comprend des compétitions de longs métrages internationaux, de courts métrages africains et arabes, et une variété de programmes thématiques pour les enfants et les étudiants. Clairement tourné vers la jeunesse et un public qui se tient aussi loin que possible de toute offre culturelle, le FIDADOC propose également des projections en plein air dans les quartiers d’Agadir et la région du Souss-Massa : Triq Cinima. Depuis 2012, les activités éducatives et professionnelles du FIDADOC sont regroupées dans une Ruche Documentaire destinée à identifier les documentaristes marocains et africains de demain, à renforcer leurs capacités et à les accompagner dans le processus de développement de leurs projets. Aujourd’hui, leur ambition est de transformer la Ruche Documentaire du FIDADOC en un véritable incubateur de projets cinématographiques visant à soutenir et promouvoir le meilleur des documentaires de création issus d’une large zone saharienne.
أسست المنتجة نزهة الدريسي “جمعية الثقافة والتعليم من خلال الصوت والصورة” في العام 2007 بهدف تنمية ثقافة الفيلم الوثائقي في المغرب بما يجمع بين المواطنين ومشاهدي السينما والطلاب والمحترفين. في العام 2008، أطلقت الجمعية “مهرجان أغادير الدولي للفيلم الوثائقي” (“فيدادوك”)، الذي تتضمن فعالياته مسابقات للأفلام الروائية العالمية والأفلام القصيرة الإفريقية والعربية، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة متنوعة من البرامج الموجهة للأطفال والطلاب. مُستهدِفاً بشكل أساسي الشباب والجمهور ممّن ليس لديهم إمكانية الوصول إلى النشاطات الثقافية، يُنظِّم “فيدادوك” فعاليّة “سينما الطريق”، وهي عبارة عن عروض سينمائية مفتوحة في مختلف أحياء أغادير ومنطقة سوس ماسة. منذ العام 2012، تجمّعت فعاليات “فيدادوك” التعليمية والمهنية ضمن خليّة عملٍ واحدة تهدف إلى اكتشاف المواهب اليافعة من صانعي وثائقيات الغد في المغرب وإفريقيا، وتنمية مهاراتهم وإرشادهم أثناء تطوير مشاريعهم. تطمح خليّة العمل هذه إلى تحويل “فيدادوك” إلى حاضنة حقيقية لمشاريع الأفلام، تدعم وتُرّوج لأفضل الوثائقيات من منطقة الصحراء الشاسعة.
As ACEA, we aim to organize and manage activities related to audio-visual and communication; to produce, organize and manage public screenings; and to conceive, organize and manage training cycles, educational and professional workshops, about cinematographic writing and image education. FIDADOC aspires to reach the Top 5 Moroccan cinema events; to contribute to the structuring of a real documentary production sector in Morocco; and, to place Morocco at the heart of the dynamism witnessed by documentary cinema in the entire African continent and in the MENA region.
En tant qu’ACEA, nous organisons et gérons toutes activités se rapportant à l’audiovisuel et à la communication ; à concevoir, organiser, encadrer et gérer des cycles de formation, des ateliers à vocation pédagogique et professionnelle, liés notamment à l’écriture cinématographique et à l’éducation à l’image. Pour FIDADOC, nous oeuvrons pour rejoindre le « Top 5 » des manifestations cinématographiques marocaines ; contribuer à la structuration d’une vraie filière de production documentaire dans notre pays ; et placer le Maroc au cœur de la dynamique que le cinéma documentaire connaît sur tout notre continent et à travers la zone MENA.
تسعى “جمعية الثقافة والتعليم من خلال الصوت والصورة” إلى تنظيم جميع أنواع النشاطات المرتبطة بالتواصل والفن السمعي البصري؛ وتنظيم عروض أفلام مُتاحة للعموم؛ وإقامة دورات تدريبية وورش عمل تثقيفية ومهنية تغطّي الكتابة السينمائية والتثقيف حول الصورة. أما بالنسبة لـ”مهرجان أغادير الدولي للفيلم الوثائقي”، فإنّ أهدافنا هي التالية: إيصال المهرجان إلى واحدة المراتب الخمس الأولى للنشاطات السينمائية المغربية؛ المساهمة في بناء هيكلية متينة لإنتاج الأفلام الوثائقية في المغرب؛ مَوْضَعة المغرب في صميم هذه الديناميكية التي تشهدها سينما الأفلام الوثائقية في مختلف أنحاء القارة الإفريقية ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.
Since our inception, and guided by our motto “Cinema Everywhere, Cinema for All”, we have been focused on reinforcing our local anchorage, in Agadir and its region, and are constantly reflecting on the best way to widen our audience in a relevant manner. Our members and the FIDADOC team are strongly connected to a substantial number of local structures (organizations, Dar Taliba boarding school, community centers) in view of widening the audiences by proposing offerings that are adapted to their demands. FIDADOC is determinedly targeted towards youths, proposing thematic screenings tailored to school students and Ibn Zohr University students.
Depuis sa création, l’ACEA a le souci de renforcer son ancrage local, à Agadir et sa région, et mène une réflexion permanente sur comment toucher le plus de gens et de manière pertinente. C’est ainsi que nos membres et l’équipe du FIDADOC sont en relation étroite avec de nombreuses structures locales (associations, le pensionnat Dar Taliba, les maisons de quartiers) afin d’élargir les publics en proposant une offre adaptée à leurs demandes. Le FIDADOC est une manifestation résolument tournée vers la jeunesse, proposant des séances thématiques réservées aux publics scolaires et aux étudiants de l’Université Ibn Zohr.
منذ تأسيسها، دأبت “جمعية الثقافة والتعليم من خلال الصوت والصورة” على تعزيز حضورها في بيئتها المحلية في أغادير والمنطقة المحيطة. لذلك، نحن نبحث باستمرار عن سبل جديدة تُخوِّلنا الوصول إلى أوسع جمهور ممكن. على هذا النحو، فإنّ أعضاءنا وفريق عمل “مهرجان أغادير الدولي للفيلم الوثائقي” يحرصون على إنشاء علاقات متينة مع العديد من الهيئات المحلية (جمعيات، “دار طالبة”، منازل الحيّ)، وذلك سعياً منهم إلى توسيع الجمهور المستهدف عبر تنظيم عروض تُلائم متطلباته. في عملها، تولي “جمعية الثقافة والتعليم من خلال الصوت والصورة” اهتماماً خاصّاً بالشباب، فتنظِّم عروضَ أفلامٍ موجَّهة لطلاب المدارس وجامعة ابن زهر.
Our NACP project aims at structuring the organization and reinforcing its communication, as well as developing its distribution and cultural mediation activities, in addition to its professional training and artistic consultancy, amplifying their professional impact, and their pan-African and pan-Arab reach.
Notre projet NACP vise à structurer l’association et à renforcer sa communication, ainsi qu’à développer ses activités de diffusion et de médiation culturelle, en plus de sa formation professionnelle et de son conseil artistique, en amplifiant leur impact professionnel et leur portée panafricaine et panarabe.
يسعى المشروع لإعادة هيكلة الجمعية وتعزيز شبكة علاقاتها وتطوير فعالياتها المتصلة بنشر الثقافة. ذلك فضلاً عن برامج التدريب المهني والاستشارات الفنية التي تقدمها الجمعية، ما يعمّق أثرها المهني ويوسع مداه عربيًا وإفريقيًا.
