Tilila was created in 2017 and operates in Rabat as a collective that aims to contribute to the building of critical minds and collective knowledge that are vital for an autonomous, emancipated, and cohesive society. Tilila organizes popular and cultural educational activities in public and private spaces. Its activities have a transformative and militant aim and take the shape of debates, hands-on workshops, or artistic and cultural activities (theater, cinema, music or literature). The topics that are discussed seek to cultivate an understanding of the world and to incite thinking about society’s critical issues in order to address them.
Tilila a été créé en 2017 et exerce ses activités à Rabat comme un collectif qui vise à contribuer à la construction de l’esprit critique et des connaissances collectives qui sont vitales pour une société autonome, émancipée et solidaire. Tilila organise des activités éducatives populaires et culturelles dans les espaces publics et privés. Ses activités ont un but transformateur et militant et prennent la forme de débats, d’ateliers pratiques ou d’activités artistiques et culturelles (théâtre, cinéma, musique ou littérature). Les thèmes abordés visent à cultiver la compréhension du monde et à réfléchir aux problématiques de la société afin de les aborder.
تأسست “تليلة” في الرباط عام 2017، وهي تجمّعٍ يُسهم في تنمية الحس النقدي والمعرفة الجماعية كمُقوّمين حيويين لمجتمعٍ مستقلٍ ومتحررٍ ومتضامن. تُنظّم “تليلة” فعاليات ثقافية وتعليمية شعبية في الفضاءين العام والخاص: ندوات وورش عمل حرفية ونشاطات فنية وثقافية (في مجالات المسرح والسينما والموسيقى والأدب). من خلال المواضيع التي تطرحها، تسعى هذه الفعاليات إلى تعزيز الانفتاح على العالم وتحفيز التفكير في المشاكل الاجتماعية وسبل مواجهتها.
Through our activities, we seek to create spaces of equity, freedom, and dialogue in order to fight against unequal power relations between participants (for example, between the educated and uneducated or between men and women).
Au cœur de nos activités, nous tentons de créer des espaces d’équité, de liberté et de dialogue afin de lutter contre les rapports de force inégaux entre les participants (par exemple, entre ceux qui ont étudié et ceux qui n’ont pas étudié, et entre les hommes et les femmes).
من خلال فعالياتها، تهدف “تليلة” إلى خلق مساحات للمساواة والتحرر والحوار، وذلك سعياً لمحاربة علاقات القوّة غير المتوازنة بين المشاركين (على سبيل المثال، بين المتعلمين وغير المتعلمين، وبين الرجال والنساء).
We draw our roots in the youth movement “The Student Union for the Change of the Education System,” which emerged in February 2011. As such, we developed our strategy to focus on organizing popular education activities and fostering cultural and social change initiatives, catered to youths (both men and women) from different social backgrounds, while also engaging with the community at large by offering a free and accessible space for alternative culture.
Tirant nos racines du mouvement de jeunesse « L’Union des étudiants pour le changement du système éducatif » créé en février 2011, nous avons développé notre stratégie de façon à nous concentrer sur l’organisation d’activités d’éducation populaire et sur l’hébergement d’initiatives culturelles et de changement social destinées aux jeunes (hommes et femmes) issus de différents milieux sociaux, tout en nous engageant également auprès de la communauté dans son ensemble. Nous offrons un espace libre et accessible pour la culture alternative.
نستمد جذورنا من الحركة الشبابية ” اتحاد الطلبة من أجل تغيير النظام التعليمي” التي برزت في شباط/فبراير 2011. وضعنا استراتيجيتنا بحيث تركز على تنظيم الأنشطة التعليمية الشعبية وعلى استضافة مبادرات التغيير الثقافي والاجتماعي التي تستهدف الشباب والشابات من مختلف الخلفيات الاجتماعية، مع إشراك المجتمع المحلي ككل عبر توفير مساحة ثقافية بديلة مجانية ومتاحة للجميع.
Our NACP project supports the sustainability of the Tilila space and its activities, as well as building the collective’s capacities to support, host and produce alternative cultural content.
Notre projet NACP permet d’assurer la durabilité de notre espace et de ses activités et de renforcer les capacités du collectif afin de continuer à soutenir, accueillir et produire du contenu culturel alternatif.
