The Mon Autre École collective was founded in Algiers in 2012, from the encounter of artists, trainers, and animators wanting to produce together and sharing a passion for creation and transmission. From this meeting, a public and self-managed space took shape to support artistic creation and the idea that art helps in the fight against all forms of exclusion.
Le collectif Mon Autre École est né à Alger en 2012, de la rencontre d’artistes, de formateurs et d’animateurs qui tentent de faire œuvre commune. Ce qui les unit: la création et la transmission. De cette rencontre un espace autogéré a vu le jour. Un lieu ouvert qui défend la création artistique et l’idée que l’art aide à lutter contre toute forme d’exclusion.
وُلدت مجموعة “مدرستي نافذتي” في الجزائر العاصمة في 2012 من تلاقي فنانين ومدربين ومُنظّمي أنشطة يرغبون في العمل معًا.
ما يجمعهم: الإبداع والسعي إلى نشره. نتج عن هذا التلاقي مساحةٌ ذاتيةُ الإدارة، هي مساحة مفتوحة تدافع عن الإبداع الفني وعن فكرة أن الفن يساهم في النضال ضد جميع أنواع الإقصاء

Azart means « Roots » in Amazigh and is also the first Hip-Hop label in Algeria, promoting an urban culture mixed with ancestral values. Authentic and independent, the newly-established Azart wants to explore a range of classical and contemporary genres, such as rap, breakdance, street art, or urban calligraphy, by drawing from traditions specific to Algerian culture and incorporating a crisp new touch.
Azart signifie « Racines » en Amazigh mais c’est aussi le premier Label de Hip Hop en Algérie à promouvoir cette culture urbaine tout en la mariant à des valeurs ancestrales. Authentique et indépendant, Azart s’est fraîchement installé et compte faire proliférer ses racines à travers divers registres classiques et contemporains, c’est-à-dire Rap, breakdance, street art, calligraphie urbaine, en puisant dans la même source des traditions itinérantes à la culture Algérienne, sans négliger toutefois le vent de fraîcheur que les nouveaux codes d’Azart apportent.
“آزار” – أي الجذور في اللغة الأمازيغية – هي أول شركة إنتاج لموسيقى الـ “هيب هوب” في الجزائر. تسعى “آزار” إلى نشر هذه الثقافة المَدينيّة بطريقة تتلاءم مع القيم التقليديّة.
تأسَّست آزار مؤخرًا، وهي تنوي العمل على مروحة من الفنون الكلاسيكية والمعاصرة، مثل الراب والبريكدانس وفنون الشارع وفن الخط المَديني، مستلهمةً من جذور الثقافة الجزائرية التقليدية، لكن مع إضفاء نفس جديد عليها.
The organization’s main objective is the creation, consolidation, or structuring of spaces of reflection and social action through arts and culture education fighting against all forms of exclusion (be it educational or social, cultural, and artistic) in several areas. The target group consists of persons aged between 15 and 25 years.
Le but principal de cette association est de créer, consolider ou structurer des espaces de réflexion et d’action sociale, à travers l’éducation à l’art et à la culture, afin de lutter contre toute forme d’exclusion (scolaire, sociale, culturelle et artistique) dans plusieurs territoires. Son public cible est âgé de 15 à 25 ans.
هدف هذه الجمعية الرئيسي إنشاء أو تعزيز أو هيكلة مساحات للتفكير والعمل الاجتماعي من خلال التربية على الفن والثقافة، وذلك لمحاربة جميع أنواع الإقصاء (المدرسي، الاجتماعي، الثقافي، والفني) في مختلف الأماكن.

The aim of the project is to create a multidisciplinary art “school-residency” in Algiers, in partnership with Tunisia. The school will welcome artists from the Maghreb. Artists in residence will work on their creation, orient and regularly train youths that are out of school and those subjected to social exclusion who are interested in developing skills in artistic domains. Work dynamics between artists and cultural organizations from both countries will also be developed.
Notre objectif est de créer une «résidence-école» d’art multidisciplinaire à Alger, en partenariat avec la Tunisie. Elle accueillera des artistes Maghrébins. Les artistes en résidence travailleront sur leur création, initieront et formeront régulièrement des jeunes en exclusion scolaire et sociale désireux d’évoluer dans ces domaines. Une dynamique de travail entre artistes et organisations culturelles des deux pays sera également mise en place.
يهدف هذا المشروع إلى إنشاء مدرسة للإقامة الفنية مُتعددة التخصصات في الجزائر العاصمة بالتشارك مع تونس، على أن تفتح المدرسة أبوابها للفنانين من سائر المغرب العربي. سيعمل الفنانون المقيمون على مشاريعهم الفنية ويبادرون إلى تدريب اليافعين المُتسربين من التعليم وممن تعرضوا للنبذ الاجتماعي والذين يرغبون بتطوير شغفهم في المجالات الفنية. كما يسعى المشروع إلى تطوير آليات العمل بين الفنانين والمؤسسات الثقافية في كلا البلدين.
Kayan is an alternative space for creation that is self-managed, multidisciplinary, and coordinated by our collective. It is dedicated to provide artists and young art amateurs a space for meeting, creativity, exchange, dissemination, and mediation for artistic and cultural projects carried out by Algerians and Tunisians in the heart of Algiers, and in partnership with Collectif Créatif Tunis.
The Kayan residency program aims to provide youth with access to art and culture and to offer them training so they can gain artistic skills while also meaningfully participating in the sector’s development in the country. Building on previous efforts, this project offers a permanent space for exchange and networking to its residents with the goal of establishing an operational network of experience-sharing and mutual support between Algeria and Tunisia.
Kayan est un espace alternatif de création, autogéré et multidisciplinaire coordonné par notre collectif. Il a vocation d’offrir aux artistes et aux jeunes amateurs d’art, un espace privilégié de rencontres, de création, d’échanges, de diffusion et de médiation au service de projets artistiques et culturels, portés par des algériens et des tunisiens, au coeur d’Alger, en partenariat avec l’association tunisienne Collectif Créatif.
La résidence Kayan a pour objectif de garantir aux jeunes l’accès à l’art et à la culture, répondant à leurs besoins de formations artistique, afin que, d’une part, ils acquièrent un savoir-faire dans le domaine de l’art, et d’autre part participent d’une manière effective à l’évolution du pays dans le secteur artistique et culturel. Ce projet, qui s’inscrit dans la continuité d’un travail antérieur, offre un espace qui se veut pérenne, lieu de contacts et de networking pour les artistes participant à la résidence. L’un des objectifs fondamentaux de ce projet est de mettre en place un réseau fonctionnel d’échange d’expériences et d’entraide entre l’Algérie et la Tunisie.

تسعى إلى تقديم مساحة لقاء وتبادل مميزة للفنانين وهواة الفن اليافعين، ومساحة لنشر المشاريع الفنية والثقافية لفنانين جزائريين وتونسيين في قلب الجزائر العاصمة بالتعاون مع مجموعة كوليكتيف كرياتيف التونسية".
كما تهدف كيان إلى ضمان وصول الشباب إلى الفن والثقافة تلبيةً لحاجاتهم إلى التدريب الفني، ما يؤمن لهم، من جهة، الخبرة الفنية، ومن جهة أخرى، المشاركة بطريقة فعالة في تطوير البلاد في المجالَيْن الفني والثقافي.
إنّ هذا المشروع الذي يندرج ضمن مساعٍ سابقة، يُوفِّر مساحة مستمرة تتيح للفنانين المشاركين التلاقي والتشبيك.
