L’ART RUE association, founded in 2007 and active in Tunisia (Greater Tunis, Sfax, Bizerte, Kairouan), aims to democratize contemporary art by making artistic creations accessible to the population. L’ART RUE encourages collective work in order to promote social cohesion, inclusion, and development through art and to develop critical analysis and artistic proposals on the relationship between art, society, heritage, memory, territory, citizenship, politics and public space. L’ART RUE’s activities are divided into five programs: Art and Education; Residencies and Artistic Production; Programming and Dissemination; Debates, Reflection and Training; and, Dream City, an art festival in public space.
L’association L’ART RUE, fondée en 2007 et active en Tunisie (Grand Tunis, Sfax, Bizerte, Kairouan) a pour but de démocratiser l’art contemporain en rapprochant les créations artistiques de la population. L’ART RUE encourage le travail collectif afin de promouvoir la cohésion sociale, l’inclusion et le développement par l’art et de développer une analyse critique et des propositions artistiques sur les relations entre l’art, la société, le patrimoine, la mémoire, le territoire, la citoyenneté, la politique et l’espace public. Les activités de L’ART RUE sont divisées en cinq programmes : Art et éducation ; Résidences et production artistique ; Programmation et diffusion ; Débats, réflexion et formation ; et Dream City, un festival d’art dans l’espace public.
الشارع فن جمعية تأسّست في العام 2007 في تونس (تونس الكبرى وبنزرت والقيروان) وتهدف إلى دمقرطة الفن المعاصر من خلال تقريب الإبداع الفني من الجمهور الواسع. تُشجّع “الشارع فن” العمل الجمعي لتعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي وروح الإندماج والتنمية من خلال الفن، كما تسعى إلى تطوير التحليل النقدي والمبادرات الفنية التي تجمع الفن والمجتمع والتراث والذاكرة والأرض والمواطنة والسياسة والفضاء العام. تنقسم أنشطة “الشارع فن” إلى خمسة برامج هي التاليّة: الفن والتعليم؛ والإقامات الفنية والإنتاج الفني والتوزيع؛ والبرمجة؛ والندوات والتدريب؛ ومهرجان”دريم سيتي” الذي يُقام في الفضاء العام.
L’Art Rue’s main goal is to contribute to the citizen-led development of Tunisia by encouraging high-quality artistic creation and collective work that explores the link between arts, society, public space, collective memory, territory, citizenship and policies. In that context, L’Art Rue supports
the co-production of artistic works between local and international artists and local communities.
An important impact of the L’Art Rue activities has been the development of youth through their artistic engagement.
L’Art Rue contribue au développement citoyen de la Tunisie en encourageant la création artistique de qualité et les travaux collectifs qui explorent le lien entre les arts, la société, l’espace public, la mémoire collective, le territoire, la citoyenneté et les politiques envisageables. Dans ce contexte, L’Art Rue soutient la coproduction d’œuvres artistiques entre des artistes locaux et internationaux et des communautés locales. Les activités de l’Art Rue ont permis de développer les capacités des jeunes à travers leur engagement artistique.
تساهم جمعية “الشارع فن” في التنمية التي يقودها المواطنون في تونس، وذلك من خلال التشجيع على الإبداع الفني العالي الجودة، والأعمال الجماعية التي تستكشف الروابط بين الفنون والمجتمع والمساحات العامة والذاكرة الجماعية والمواطنة والسياسات. وفي هذا السياق، دعمت “الشارع فن” الإنتاج المشترك لأعمال فنية أنجزها فنانون محليون ودوليون ومجتمعات محلية. إنّ أحد أبرز آثار نشاطات “الشارع فن” هو تطوير قدرات الشباب من خلال إشراكهم في العمل الفني.
L’Art Rue has developed a specific methodology on how to access and engage local communities (children, young people, minority groups, women, inhabitants of the Medina, etc.) in artistic work/creation processes and encourage social change through arts and culture. This has enabled l’Art Rue to gain the trust and confidence of the local communities where it operates and to ensure that its programs and activities remain relevant to the local context. Following its mission to democratize contemporary art, l’Art Rue has become one of the few Tunisian organisations that seek to defend access to public spaces and freedom of expression. As such, it has learnt how to work with public institutions and the public for this end and can leverage this relationship for future projects.
L’Art Rue a développé une méthodologie spécifique pour toucher et impliquer les communautés locales (enfants, jeunes, groupes minoritaires, femmes, habitants de la Médina, etc.) dans les processus de travail et de création artistique et favoriser ainsi le changement social à travers les arts et la culture. Cela a permis de gagner la confiance des communautés locales au sein desquelles L’Art Rue opère et d’assurer que ses programmes et activités restent pertinents par rapport au contexte local. Dans le cadre de sa mission de démocratiser l’art contemporain, L’Art Rue est devenu l’une des rares organisations tunisiennes à défendre l’accès aux espaces publics et la liberté d’expression.
En tant que telle, L’Art Rue a appris à travailler avec les institutions publiques et le public à cette fin et est en mesure de tirer parti de cette gestion des relations pour les projets à venir.
عملت “الشارع فن” على تطوير منهجية محددة للوصول إلى المجتمعات المحلية (الأطفال والشباب والأقليات والنساء وسكان مدينة تونس المدينة، إلخ) وإشراكها في الأعمال الفنية/العمليات الإبداعية وتشجيع التغيير الاجتماعي من خلال الفنون والثقافة. هذا ما أكسب “الشارع فن” ثقة المجتمعات المحلية حيث تمارس عملها وتسعى إلى تمتين ارتباط نشاطاتها وبرامجها بالسياق المحلي. وبفضل جهودها لدمقرطة الفن المعاصر، باتت “الشارع فن” إحدى المنظمات التونسية القليلة المُدافعة عن حريّة التعبير وعن إمكانية الوصول إلى المساحات العامة. تحقيقاً لهذه الغاية، طوَّرت المنظمة خبراتها في العمل مع المؤسسات العامة والجمهور، فصار يمكنها توظيف هذه العلاقات في إطار مشاريع مستقبلية.
The project seeks to attain organizational stability and mid- and long-term strategy (operational, financial and human resources), in addition to reaching out into the region and supporting the artist creation and mobility within the MENA region and Africa, thus strengthening the cultural ecosystem of the continent.
Le projet assure une stabilité organisationnelle et une stratégie à moyen et long terme (ressources opérationnelles, financières et humaines), en plus de toucher la région et de soutenir la mobilité des artistes et leurs créations dans la région MOAN et en Afrique, renforçant ainsi l’écosystème culturel du continent.
يهدف المشروع إلى تحقيق الاستقرار التنظيمي، ووضع إستراتيجية للأمدين المتوسط والطويل (الموارد التشغيلية والتمويلية والبشرية)، بالإضافة إلى توسيع إمكانية وصول الجمعية، ودعم أعمال الفنانين، وتعزيز قدرتهم على التنقل ضمن منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، وذلك سعياً إلى تمتين المنظومة الثقافية في القارة بأكملها.
